Appreciating life’s simple pleasures, what we have right in front of us, is the subject of an article, “The Mundane Thrill of ‘Romanticizing Your Life’,” in The New York Times.
An example in the article is a lady in Hawaii waking up and watching the birds outside her window, watering her plants, and slicing fruits for breakfast. “It gives me a reason to wake up in the morning,” she said.
It’s a trend that began during the pandemic and continues.
This is right up our alley. We dullsters do more than watch paint dry. We watch grass grow. We watch ice melt. My favorite is watching wood warp.
What are yours? Can you list them in the comments to this post? Or email them to us contactus@dullmen.com?
Sincerely (dullsters are always sincere, mostly),
