Countries often have national birds, national flowers, nationals anthems — but a national font? Sweden is the first.
The font was designed by Stefan Hattenbach. He told the Guardian “Aesthetics are very important in Sweden and we have a long tradition of treat architecture, furniture, and design — so this was the natural next step.”
The font will now be rolled out to all government unstirred and agencies. It will bring consistency [we dull men like consistency] to for all material published by the government.
Hattenbach says the idea of a national font could go global. What suggestions do our readers have for other countries? For America, American Typewriter?
