A party on a train platform, perfect for the Dull Men’s Club, right?
11:30 – 2:30 (or whenever), Saturday, 5 August.
This will be not only for members of the DMC but also spouses and friends.
Also for the Dull Club set up recently where both men and women belong. It will be interesting to see how this Dull Club fares. Perhaps at some point, the two clubs will merge. If we run out of dull things to talk about at Platform 5, we can discuss this.
At some point at this meetup, we’ll go around the room introducing ourselves and briefly mention a dull undertaking we are passionate about. (Those who are too shy for this can simply say ‘pass’.)
Cheadle Hulme is a suburb of Stockport, Greater Manchester — 7.5 miles southeast of Manchester.
Cheadle Hulme is in the Ladybrook Valley on the Cheshire Plain — an interesting thing about the plain is that it consists mostly of boulder clay, sands, and gravels.

Definitely YES! That is, IF I’m allowed to come, as a mere woman.
I have a plan which I’d like to discuss with all the members, but please confirm my gender doesn’t rule me out! Many thanks and in great anticipation.
I hope women are allowed. We can be dull too.
To Ingrid, “great anticipation” might be too exciting a phrase and way too emotional.
