Dear DMC,
I read your blog posting about the “Celebrate the ordinary things” article in The Sydney Morning Herald and the article itself. As an immigrant (to the U.S. from Poland), I was interested in the coverage and comments towards the end of the article about nimbyism over asylum seekers.
As the article says, the news rarely covers the benefits immigrants bring, the work they do that natives don’t do, the high educational achievements of their children — the many successes.
