Dear DMC,
i see on the DMC website that this is Be Nice to Nettles Week. It was nice to see, when I was visiting Washington DC earlier this week, that a Nettles Pizza was a special on the menu at the 2 Amys restaurant there.
I ate the whole thing. It had a wild taste to it. Some of our members might not like it. I know of some members who prefer plain cheese pizzas.

Thank you Tom. I have done nettle risotto for years. Contrary to what you might expect, the taste is rather bland, provided the cooking is long and meticulous. The taste of rice is heightened in the process. A timely alternative to nettles is seaweed, with a more pungent flavor though.
