Dear DMC

Realise it or not, September 21st is TELEGRAPH POLE APPRECIATION DAY. This is the day to look upwards and celebrate the glorious everyday mundanity of these simple silent sentinels the world over.

It matters not what the wires contain either — be it the sparky electricity stuff which boils your kettle or the thinner stuff with Aunty Mabel’s voice in it when she’s on the phone.

Telegraph poles are everywhere, and the world would be a diminished place without them.  Appreciate them any time, but especially on September 21st.

Cheers
