March 1 — 5th annual Chicago Shopping Cart Race — “Chiditarod”
The day of this race coincides with the day the Iditarod in Alaska starts. Instead of huskies pulling sleds, the CHIditarod is humans pushing shopping carts.
In addition to the race, CHIditarod is a charity food drive, a beauty patent, and a pub crawl.
